Топор из Новой Зеландии называется toki kakauroa. Он боевой. Возник он из новозеландской боевой дубинки pouwhenua. Плоскую часть этой дубинки маори заменили европейским топориком. Получился своеобразный полинезийский гибрид топора и копья. В длину он был от 120 до 155 см.
